Many young people feel lost in large classrooms or overwhelmed by 1-1 intensity. At Restart Tuition, our small group programmes strike the balance: building confidence, encouraging questions, and creating space to grow.
Group details
- Maximum 6 learners per group for focused, supportive teaching
- 1-hour sessions online or in-person, delivered in half-term blocks
- Intended for learners preparing for GCSE Maths or English (KS3 in some cases), especially those who benefit from confidence-building in exam skills and methods
- Delivered by qualified teachers with Enhanced DBS

Our small group sessions are perfect for students who need a confidence boost in key GCSE topics or exam skills. Whether they’re struggling with tricky methods or just need a clearer understanding of what the exam expects, our sessions build both competence and self-belief.
Catching up and strengthening foundations
Small groups are especially well-suited for learners working one to two grades below their target. Our approach helps them catch up at a manageable pace while strengthening the foundations they’ll need to progress.
Learning alongside others, not alone
Many students benefit from learning alongside others. In our small groups, learners see that they’re not alone in their challenges, which helps reduce anxiety, normalise mistakes, and encourage collaboration and growth.
